The griffin is from a 16th-century German manuscript illumination, “Der Triumphzug Kaiser Maximilians I”. (Vienna, Österreichische Nationalbibliothek, Cod. Min. 77, fol. 11)
Materials and Techniques
You can use any even weave fabric such as Aida cloth or linen. The threads are DMC floss. Stitching uses whole cross-stitches only.
