(London, British Museum, MS 5111) The snail is adapted from the “hunting snail” on the hand of a dog-riding rabbit from a 14th-century French manuscript, the Pontifical of Guillaume Durand. (Paris, Library of Saint Genevieve, MS 143, fol. 165r)

Materials and Techniques

You can use any even weave fabric such as Aida cloth or linen. The threads are DMC floss. Only whole cross-stitches are used.
